Joan completed her Master鈥檚 of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C., where she reported from the Supreme Court and Capitol Hill. She also wrote stories for American University鈥檚 online publication, The Wash.
She grew up in the United Arab Emirates where she worked for CNN International in Abu Dhabi and Gulf 小萝莉影视, a local newspaper in Dubai where she was an entertainment reporter. After completing her MA, Joan interned for Voice of America鈥檚 鈥淧lugged in with Greta Van Susteren鈥� show.
In her free time, Joan enjoys reading Malcom Gladwell books, getting lost in museums, hiking and playing the piano.
