DC’s new police chief plans to ramp up patrols for ATV drivers

WASHINGTON 鈥 The D.C. police are ramping up enforcement against ATV drivers on city streets, a problem which tends to escalate as the weather gets warmer.

“They are essentially terrorizing drivers,” said D.C. Police Chief Peter 小萝莉影视ham shortly after his confirmation last week .

He began talking about the changes to come, including a crackdown on drivers of ATVs, who have become a nuisance at best for drivers in the District.

“We are going to step up enforcement, but I would聽prefer it if these people would have some sense of community and not be involved in this kind of behavior,” he said.

小萝莉影视ham suggests that drivers who see a group of ATVs on the road pull over and let police know where they are, so they don’t cause someone with less ability to react to lose control or be involved in an accident.

“These drivers can be folks who are elderly. They can be mothers with children in car. They can be your regular commuter, so these [ATV] drivers have to realize what they’re doing. It’s not funny,” 小萝莉影视ham said.
