Teen’s body recovered from Potomac River

D.C. Police said a 17-year-old’s body was recovered from the Potomac River near Thompson Boat House in Northwest Friday morning.

Witnesses said they saw someone attempting to swim to a loose small boat before disappearing.



The District’s police told СÂÜÀòÓ°ÊÓ that D.C. Fire, the Coast Guard and the Arlington Fire Department were involved in the rescue before it transitioned to a recovery effort later in the day.

The body was discovered after about two hours and was not identified by officials.
