NBC, AFI partner to launch first ‘Meet the Press’ documentary film festival

WASHINGTON —聽If聽it’s Sunday, it’s “Meet the Press.” But if it’s November, it’s documentaries.

The inaugural Meet the聽Press Film Festival will arrive in Washington D.C. this November.

The festival is timed with the 70th anniversary of “Meet the Press” and the 50th anniversary of the American Film Institute, which is co-hosting the festival along with NBC 小萝莉影视.

The first-ever event will feature seven short-length documentaries (40 minutes or less) told from a diversity of perspectives and exploring聽political, social and issue-based themes.

Film submissions are being accepted now through Sept. 15.聽Click 聽to submit.
