University of Maryland point guard Melo Trimble has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return for his junior season.
Because Trimble never hired an agent after , he had the option to return to Maryland.
He will be the only starter from last year鈥檚 team to return to the Terrapins.
Maryland reached the Sweet 16 last season and went 27-9 behind Trimble, who led the team in scoring, assists and steals.
In a statement released by the university, Trimble said, “I learned a great deal through this experience. … I look forward to continuing my education and building upon the success that we have had at Maryland.”
Coach Mark Turgeon said, “After gathering information throughout this process, I agree that this is the best decision for him.”
