American Airlines flight makes emergency landing at Dulles after bird strike

WASHINGTON — An American Airlines flight taking off from Reagan National Airport Wednesday was forced to make an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport after a bird strike.

American Airlines flight 4411, was on its way to Fort Myers, Florida, when it was diverted to Dulles shortly after takeoff.

The plane taxied to the gate at Dulles without any further incident, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority told СÂÜÀòÓ°ÊÓ.

There were 56 passengers on the plane when it departed just before 5 p.m. last night. No one was injured.
