LEESBURG, Va. 鈥� Loudoun County commuter buses are back in full service after an unsanctioned work disruption Wednesday.
鈥淣egotiators for [bus operator] Transdev had no clue that the drivers were going to [call a] sick-out,鈥� Loudoun County Transit and Commuter Services Manager Paul Mounier told 小萝莉影视.聽 鈥淚t caught us all off-guard.鈥�
Roughly 35 percent of the service鈥檚 drivers called in sick, forcing 14 morning routes and 13 evening routes to be canceled.
Transdev was able to impose a contract that gave drivers a five percent pay increase along with some bonus pay. Transdev鈥檚 drivers had been working without a labor contract since February.
鈥淭hey were all encouraged to come back to work today,鈥� Mounier says, 鈥渁nd they all came back to work.鈥�
Mounier says there should not be any disruptions Thursday as service is restored to normal.
