The state of Maryland on Tuesday sued the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, alleging it illegally 鈥渟tonewalled鈥� the state鈥檚 investigation into conditions at the George H. Fallon Federal Building in downtown听Baltimore where immigrants were being held.
Attorney General Anthony听Brown, a Democrat, said his office鈥檚 Civil Rights Division and Federal Accountability Unit听in January launched an investigation into the conditions inside the detainee holding rooms.
