WASHINGTON 鈥 Twenty-five customers are without service聽after a water main break聽in Bethesda on Monday night that has also closed a nearby road.
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission says that Bradley Boulevard, which is closed between Rayburn Road and Aberdeen Road, will remain closed through the Tuesday-evening rush hour.
The water main break happened in the 5900 block of Bradley Boulevard, near Aberdeen Road. WSSC says repairs are currently underway on the 61-year-old water main.
鈥淭here鈥檚 a gas line that runs in the middle of the excavation site, so it鈥檚 a little tedious 鈥 we need to work around that gas line, so it鈥檚 slowing the overall speed of the repairs,鈥 said Lyn Riggins, with WSSC.
