WASHINGTON 鈥斅燩olice are asking for help after a teen suffers life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run accident in Silver Spring, Maryland Monday night.
罢丑别听 says the driver struck聽Quasim Shinar Williams, 17, of Silver Spring as he was crossing U.S. 29/Columbia Pike near Tech Road.
Police believe the driver was behind the wheel of a聽dark gray Honda sport utility vehicle, possibly a dark gray Honda Pilot. The vehicle is missing its聽passenger side mirror and has front end damage.
Williams is in serious condition. Montgomery County police officers passing the intersection while investigating an unrelatd matter found Williams near the road around 10:20 p.m.
The driver who struck Williams was traveling northbound on Columbia Pike, police say.
