BOWIE, Md. – All lanes of Md. 197 at the westbound U.S. 50 exit have reopened after a serious accident.
The roadway, including the ramp to westbound U.S. 50, had been closed.
The southbound lanes of Md. 197 were closed the last to open. They were closed for more than three hours.
It appears three vehicles were involved in the accident in the 3 a.m. hour. Authorities say some of those involved were injured. The extent of their injuries is not yet clear.
