WASHINGTON – Admit it. Your feelings are mixed about that Gotye song.
You kind of like it. But you hear “Somebody That I Used to Know” everywhere. You’re torn between wanting to change the station (Subliminal Message/Editor’s Note: You should! Head over to 103.5 FM!) and wanting to sing the chorus at the top of your lungs, exuding angst and breakup emotion as you channel your inner diva/divo/rock star.
Or maybe that’s just us. But there are two guys who channeled our inner turmoil quite well with their YouTube video titled “That Gotye Song.” As one of them says during their drive, “It makes me hate myself, and I’m even singing this song, dude.”
Others seem to agree: The video has about 1.4 million page views since being posted July 11, and more than 20,000 likes.
