WASHINGTON – Students were released from Silver Spring International Middle School and Sligo Creek Elementary School Thursday at their regular dismissal time after sheltering in place due to a police response nearby for a suicide call.
Montgomery County Police are still responding to Dartmouth Avenue and Dale Drive where they say a woman has locked herself in a home nearby the school.
The woman is alone, but police say they felt the situation warranted safety precautions at the school.
