WASHINGTON 鈥斅燗 federal judge granted would-be presidential assassin John W. Hinckley Jr. full-time release from St. Elizabeths Hospital.
Hinckley shot聽President Ronald Reagan聽in 1981.
He was found not guilty by reason of insanity and has聽been in confinement at St. Elizabeths in Washington since the聽shooting.
Hinckley, 61, has been granted release to his mother in Williamsburg, Virginia. A聽wide range of conditions has been attached to his release.
He could be released as early as Aug. 5.
