WASHINGTON 鈥� Police found human remains Thursday while searching for an 18-year-old Virginia college student who has been missing for more than a month.
The remains were located in the 3400 block of Smiths Ferry Road in Southampton County, Virginia, while police were searching for Anjelica 鈥淎J鈥� Hadsell, who has been missing since March 2, reports in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
It is not yet clear if the remains found are connected to Hadsell鈥檚 case.
The remains are being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for additional analysis and identification.
Hadsell disappeared from her Norfolk home while she was home for spring break from Longwood University.
Earlier this week, Hadsell鈥檚 grandmother, Katherine Hadsell, said to look for the 18-year-old.
Katherine Hadsell said she wishes the police would 鈥済ive us more insight into what they鈥檙e actually doing, because to us it seems like they鈥檙e doing nothing.鈥�
