WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a body found in an alley in Northwest D.C. Thursday afternoon.

The body of a man was found around noon in an alley in the 2400 block of 18th Street NW in D.C.’s Adams Morgan neighborhood.

Police have not yet released the identity of the man, but the family of a missing 19-year-old believes the body is his, according to a family friend.

A missing-person report was filed Wednesday for Paul McGuinness — a Reston resident. McGuinness had last been seen near a bar in the same area the body was found.
