Throughout the month of April,聽小萝莉影视 is highlighting our partnership with Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic聽and Operation Dream Maker, which raises money to fulfill the wishes of the children of our nation鈥檚 military heroes diagnosed with critical illnesses.
Last year, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic granted 386 wishes in the D.C.-area community, and this year, with your help, they say they hope to grant even more.
The nonprofit said around a third of the kids who get wishes in the D.C. area each year are those with parents or guardians who are serving or have served in the military.
In today鈥檚 episode of 鈥淢att About Town,鈥 小萝莉影视鈥檚 Matt Kaufax sat down with some of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic鈥檚 corporate partners that embrace philanthropy and give back to Make-A-Wish here in the D.C. area.
These local CEOs said they all believe in the power of a wish, and some even have personal connections to the cause.
As Kaufax found out, one person鈥檚 idea to give back can inspire thousands of employees worldwide, and the spirit of giving can compound again and again 鈥 turning the dreams of countless children into real-life wishes that can help in their journeys.
Every year on April 29, World Wish Day celebrates the anniversary of the founding of Make-A-Wish. April is also both the Month of the Military Child and World Wish Month!
